December 22nd!

Well, it's been a couple of days, let me catch up a little.

Saturday was insane - I went to wal mart on the Saturday before Christmas! I was desperate, it was crazy, it destroyed my Christmas spirit and almost my faith in humanity... It's been quite a challenge this year finding the gifts the kids requested from Santa. Caden at first wanted a $300 T-Rex 4-wheeler and when I explained that it was too much money, he explained, "I don't want it from you, I want it from Santa!" Then he wanted binoculars that have x-ray vision for seeing through walls and a transform button that can make them look like a lady-bug so other people won't know that it's really binoculars. If anyone sees something like this in your last minute shopping, please let me know where to find it! Then he decided that he would really like a bigger bike (this one Santa can do!) but that's the reason for being at Wal-mart. Where someone took a football out of my cart when I stepped away from it and left with the cart! I turned around to find my football tossed in someone else's cart! No one was friendly or smiling or anything. Then I went to the comic book store to look for Spiderman decals for the bikes and my faith and spirit were restored! The man running the store GAVE me the decals for free :) He was very kind, and I will definitely be going to his store again!

We went to church yesterday (of course) and it was like Christmas for the kids already! They were so excited and so thankful for all they received. Their favorites were the Tony Romo football, Magna Doodle, soft stacker (for Reese), musical ornaments, and McDonalds gift cards! What a day!

I can't believe it's already the 22nd! We are in crazy mode now trying to get everything done that needs to be done, but everyone seems to be healthy (other than some slightly runny noses) and all are so excited for Christmas to get here!

As I am blogging this morning, my sweet Luke came to sit by me and cuddled up close and put his arm around me - it's nice to have some still quiet moments in the midst of all the busyness :)

Luke says he is thankful that we go to church and insists that it is different than when he was thankful for our church.

I am thankful Caden and Reese are still asleep and will update this post after he wakes up! :)

Caden is thankful that Daddy likes to do nice things with us and loves us. (Me too - he's taking them shopping for my Christmas present from them this morning!)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! And keep your eyes peeled for those x-ray binoculars!
