The boys had a big day today - no pics, but did take some video we may be able to upload later...
They have been very interested in martial arts for some time, and have asked about taking classes. After much investigating, we decided to check out Team Chip Tae Kwon Do. The program is very well thought of, with much emphasis on self-control and respect. Today we surprised the boys and took them for a free trial class to see what they thought about it. Caden said on the way there that he knew he was going to love it, and wanted to jump into the gym and join the class in session when we got there. We explained that they needed to wait for the next class to start. When the beginners' class started, Caden was beside himself excited to get out there and learn. Luke wasn't as sure about it. He sat out the first few minutes then said he'd go out there for the next class. When he found out there wasn't another class he took his shoes off and bounced out there. They did really well and had a great time. They were exhausted! The teachers worked really well with them and both boys said they would really like to get to go again. (Luke said he wants to get a uniform like the other kids had.) We're thinking they'll be really excited about their Christmas gifts!!! (Shhh!)
Tonight they both said they were thankful for getting to go to Starbucks tonight to get Frappacinos. (Me too!)
I was also thankful that they enjoyed the martial arts class and that the class seems like a perfect fit for us! I'm thankful for our families that are helping us make this a reality for them!
