October fun!

We love the cooler weather, the pumpkins, football games, playing outside - the fall is great!

Okay, not so great was last week when the boys had a couple of incidents with locks on doors.
It started with the bathroom door. Caden turned the lock and pulled the door closed behind him as he was leaving the bathroom, locking the door. "It was an accident." When Daddy came home for lunch, he had to remove the door knobs to get it unlocked - this is not the first time they've locked us all out and apparently the knob unlocks from the outside a limited number of times. He didn't have time to put the knobs back on, so he told the boys not to close the door if they went to the bathroom. It shouldn't have been a problem since they don't close the door anyway (privacy? what?) so when Caden went to the bathroom a couple hours later, I didn't think twice about it. Then Luke went into the bathroom too (with a sword) and they began talking, and Luke got distracted and closed the door.

Which was now locked.

With my children inside.

Who think it's hysterical.

And start sword fighting.

I called David to find out what to do to unlock the door, and couldn't manage it. He came home and got them out, but while waiting for him to get home, I got a couple of pictures of the trapped boys.

To make matters worse, they locked us all out of Mommy and Daddy's room later that day. We now have new door knobs that easily unlock from the outside with this fantastic little stick-gadget.

Cici and Bode sent a fun Halloween package - The GIANT spider "moves" while the boys are sleeping and they have to find him in the morning when they wake up! They love it!

We made another trip to Iowa Park last week. Daddy went fishing with Grandpa Joe, so Mommy and kids spent a few days with Grando and Necie. We got to see Aunt Tiff too, so that was great, and she has a great new apartment with a sweet roomie for a change! "Buck" got out of the hospital Monday and out of the rehab clinic on Friday, so it was nice to see him home!

Reese got to meet her cousin Brandon - she loved him of course!!

Necie and Reese - so happy!

Another sweet outfit - complete with matching bow! Necie found a great shop that sells nothing but bows - yes, really. And it was awesome, and she now has bows for just about every outfit she can wear!

Dillards had a sale while we were in Wichita Falls with Grando and Necie - all 3 kids were treated to something new! The boys got the Spider-man jackets featured in the pumpkin patch pictures, and Reese got this beautiful new dress. She wore it to church Sunday morning and got tons of compliments!

Have you ever seen a more beautiful girl!?!

Aunt Jodie made Miss Reese an oh-so-stylish princess onesie with zebra print and rhinestones - SO CUTE! Here she is modeling it, along with her new jeans and hair bow from Grando and Necie! She is one foxy little girl! (And for those of you rolling your eyes, her daddy agrees with you and called this "Ridiculous" which the boys then repeated for the rest of the evening when anyone at church commented on how cute she looked - "Ridiculous!" Sorry - I'm enjoying the girlie stuff :)

We went to a local church's pumpkin patch where we paid a ridiculous amount for a small pumpkin, but the pics were cute!

At Grando and Necie's we went to a pumpkin patch and these are some of the best from the pics Necie took!
