Catching up - the last 2 weeks

Reese got to go with Mommy on her FIRST GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!!!! We joined Miss Amy and Miss Michele at Cracker Barrel - we can't wait for their babies to arrive - they will be great new friends!!

My Franpa was in the hospital last week, and we went to visit. We hoped to introduce him to Reese, but since he was in ICU we weren't able to. She did get to meet her Mamie and her great-aunt Georgia. Grando spent some time with her in the waiting area too! We're looking forward to next weekend when Franpa will get home from rehab for a stroke and we get to introduce them to each other.

We hated to be there because Franpa was not doing well, but did really enjoy the day and a half we got to visit with everyone - Uncle Todd came in that night too, and it was great to see him!

One month old!!
She finally got to wear her fancy dress from Miss Michele and Mr HT!
Her first church appearance was great! She looked absolutely beautiful!

Of course, we think she's beautiful in everything, or nothing!

Reese was having a hard time going to sleep, til her daddy found the perfect position for her - straight to sleep!

Caden had to make sure she was really asleep!

A little bit of dress-up time

Daddy is quite the multi-tasker - working on his doctorate paper and rocking Reese to sleep at the same time!

The boys busted the bottom out of their bucket of blocks. Caden decided it would make a great tunnel for them to slide through like Batman and Robin do when lowering to the batcave while changing into their super hero garb. I explained that while that was a creative and fun idea, it wouldn't be big enough, and there was no way they would be able to fit through it. They were determined to prove me wrong...

Other news this week...

Caden got in trouble twice this week and his response was, "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking at all."

Both boys have been sick on and off since the week after Reese was born. We finally felt like we had a handle on it, then Caden got strep, and Luke had an allergic reaction to a wipe that I cleaned his face with and it developed into an infection :( We are very thankful for a wonderful doctor and for antibiotics that have worked beautifully!

Reese and I have avoided all illnesses so far!

She has slept for six hours straight, 7 nights in a row!! We love good sleep!

She loves her baths - she actually slept through most of one the other night!

She is finally beginning to outgrow some of the newborn clothes. 0-3 months still look pretty big, but we're glad she's growing into them.

Daddy will finish his papers for his first two doctorate classes this week - he's working really hard and we're really proud of him!!!

We're looking forward to visiting the pumpkin patch this week - check back for pictures!!!
