FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!

It finally arrived.  Our first day of public school!!

We fixed first day gifts for the teachers!  I saw these "brown-nose buckets" on another blog and loved the idea!  We filled them with treats like gum, mints, fun sticky notes/notepads, etc.

(Luke fixed his own hair and was so proud of how it looked...I tried to help him fix it a little differently, but he was convinced it looked awesome.  Some battles are worth fighting and I just couldn't fight with him before the first day of school!)

(There wasn't an earlier Meet the Teacher because the PTO bought all the school supplies for the whole school and so there wasn't a need to bring supplies earlier!  It was SO nice to not have to buy supplies!)

There were clipboards for the kids who wanted to sit on the floor to work - Luke LOVED it!!

That afternoon, we went to Sonic to celebrate with a slush, and that night we headed to Ken's Pizza in Iowa Park to meet Grando and Necie and Aunt Tiff and Mr Weston.  Everyone had a great first day!!

*And for those who were wondering, I didn't cry at all!! It was a surprise to all of us!!*
