There was supposed to be a parade that the boys were going to be in to kick off the West Texas Fair and Rodeo, but it got rained out (at least we think it did, we decided it was too wet for us, so their part of it was cancelled.) So, we had some unexpected time to kill while waiting on the party to start. Grandmother and Grandpa Joe got in Friday afternoon, and Grando, Necie and Aunt Tiff (Bobo) arrived at lunch time! We were so glad to have everyone help us celebrate! (Uncle Todd got sick and had to stay in bed all day :( We missed him!)
As soon as everyone arrived, Reese slipped into her party clothes :) Mommy made the shirt and tutu, Grandmother made the bloomers and Mommy added the sequined R, and we won the bow courtesy of www.bellabowz.com !
And the bow comes off... (She did wear it a lot more, but wasn't sure about the size of it at first!)
Bow back on, tutu off for eating. We had hot dogs/chili dogs/frito chili pie kind of stuff - it was good!
I'm one!
SO BIG!
So sweet!
Signing "ALL DONE!"
Bobo and Reese
See the R on her bottom?
Time for presents!
Super cute brown cords and cupcake top and darling jeans and pink with ribbon trim top from Aunt Dee! (We love clothes from Janie and Jack!)
What's in here?
Sweet red gingham dress from Grandmother and Grandpa Joe
and a new baby!!! She loves her!!
Bobo got her a precious little 3 piece set with 2 shirts and leggings in pink, brown, and purple dots and hearts and an adorable Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader outfit! (Which she will be wearing tomorrow!)
Grando and Necie found a to-die-for black "fur" coat trimmed in zebra print with a matching hat! :) Love it! And can't wait for it to get cold!
and a so fun leopard print "fur" purse with two cell phones and a new set of keys inside! She LOVES playing with all of it and slinging that purse over her shoulder! :) Such a girlie girl!
Gotta make a quick phone call...
Then it was time for sweets - of which there were plenty!! Chocolate dipped frozen bananas, chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate dipped marshmallows, zebra cakes, birthday cakes - YUM-O!!!
Birthday girl with her cake!
You could tell she liked the icing, and she's not afraid of getting messy...
But she LOVED the cake part and began two-fisting it to her mouth in a hurry - like she didn't know why it was there or how long it would last before someone realized they put it in the wrong place and took it away!
She ate
and ate
and ate!
Then said "All done!" (Her sweet little zebra bib was made by Grandmother too!)
Then she had to have a bath and a nap! Everyone else partied on!
After nap time, she was ready to go to Red Robin for dinner! (Caden's first soccer game got rained out, so we got to eat early!)
It was the best day! She had a ball! We're so thankful for our family and for the blessing that she is to us!
Reese Paige, you are more fun than I could ever have imagined a year ago. I can't believe how fast the time has flown! You are beautiful inside and out and we couldn't be more proud of you!
