This is the last of the catch-up posts :) Here are some of my favorite pictures of my first-born - my sweet Caden Joe.
On his field trip
(I can't believe how long their hair was!)
Caden loves to hunt with his Daddy!
Darth Turkey
Seven years old!
New bike!
Rowdy boys
Caden is a serious competitor
He's into music - he got a keyboard for Christmas this year, and he just started guitar lessons!
He may be a musical genius like his Uncle Todd :)
He's an athlete! He asks more about sports all the time. He even started playing football at recess this year, and made a touchdown his first day out!

Fun in the water at the Morris' ranch
He made a great dance partner at Aunt Tiff's and Uncle Weston's wedding
We had a fun week in Denver visiting Aunt Dee!
The boys got to ride home in a fire truck one evening - made their night!
Caden and his sweet teacher Mrs. McGuire
Towards the end of September, Caden went with me to meet Mrs. Davis' baby Maxx!

We started taking care of Maxx during the day and the boys were thrilled to get home after school and get to love on him!

We had a scary Saturday in November when Caden came in and told me his throat hurt.
Me - "Does it feel scratchy?"
C - "No, it feels like something is stuck in it."
Me - "Did you eat something that got stuck?"
C - "Well I ate some pumpkin chocolate chip bread."
Me - "Did it get stuck"
C - "No."
Me - "Did you eat anything else?"
C - "No." LONG PAUSE "Unless you mean a toy."
Me - "What do you mean?"
C - "I didn't eat any other food, but do you mean a toy?"
Me - "Did you eat a TOY?"
C - "Well I might have swallowed a marble."
Yep. That's it lodged in his esophagus. That's in Seymour. Then we took an ambulance to Cooks in Ft Worth so we could meet this nice anesthesiologist as well as several surgeons and nurses, etc. and get the marble out.
(By the way, the surgeon went in to get it, and said it had already passed into his stomach, and there was no need to do anything at that point.
So, a couple weeks later, he turned 8.
He had a camo party
Smores!
Loosing teeth is an exciting event! Our toothfairy brings a two-dollar bill to exchange for teeth!
How cute is this little shepherd for the Christmas program at church!?
Christmas at Cici and Bode's
Great Wolf Lodge!!
Taco's and Valentines at Fuzzy's
Caden surprises us daily with things he knows and understands. He is very sensitive and super competitive. He loves to read, play outside, ride his scooter, and play on the computer/ipod. He's got a great dimpled smile and a heart that wants to please more than anything. He is a great kid and our family is blessed to have him!
