Update on my ear

For those who have asked about the latest on my ear - I had another MRI done on Friday. Saw the doctor the same day (he was 3 hours late and unapologetic for our wait with a 6 month old baby, but that's another story) and he explained that there was nothing to be done. The hearing loss still appears to be nerve damage either caused vascularly or by a virus that attacked the nerve. We have not lost hope, but there is nothing more for that doctor to do, and he was so calloused in our appt on Friday, I will be finding someone new to do my yearly check-ups for my good ear :) If anyone knows a great ENT let me know! The doctor said my only choice at this point is a BAHA hearing device which involves a titanium screw in the head that a black box clips to and feeds sound from the right side to the left side so that I could hear easier in group conversations. It would not help with telling which direction sound comes from, which is the most annoying part for me at this point, and I really don't want a screw in my head anyway. We are still praying, knowing that God can heal it at any time and that there are new medical breakthroughs made daily. Thanks for the prayers lifted on my behalf.
