Tot Spot at The Grace Museum

I took the boys to Tot Spot at The Grace last week. The teacher does a great job discussing a new artist's exhibit, pointing out attributes that are understandable for the boys and interesting to them. Then the boys had time to look at the artist's work, making lots of good observations. This artist's works were in shallow boxes, so the boys learned the word "diorama" as well as what primary colors are. Then they got to make their own dioramas. They both chose a turtle to paint and hang to make their art 3D.






They are very artistic and really enjoyed the morning!
