First Day of "School"

The boys first day of Mother's Day Out "School" was September 2nd. Caden went to this school last year, but this was Luke's first time to go to his very own class! They both alternated between way excited and a little apprehensive. That morning when it was time to go, they loaded up all their stuff (lunch boxes, nap mats, backpacks) and waited for me on the porch on the new bench from Cici and Bode.

When I took them into school, we went to Caden's class first. He's in the Lambs class this year! I was more worried about how he would do because he had been very shy at the meet the teacher night. But, he walked right in, put his things away, and sat at the table for table time! I then walked Luke across the hall to his class. He also walked right in and put things away (even finding his name above the hooks for backpacks all by himself!) but then he got shy. We talked for a minute about what play choices he had, then I told him I needed to go, and he gave me a hug and was fine! I watched him from the hallway, and he jumped right in. As I was leaving, I peeked back in at Caden, who gave me a grin and 2 winks (one with each eye) and then he got busy on his table work again. They are so big!

When I picked them up that afternoon, they had both had great days, their teachers called them "sweet", and they are looking forward to a great year of Tuesday school!
