Reese's 2nd Birthday!!

Ok. So it's been for.ev.er since our last post.  We had Reese's 2nd birthday and I thought I'd wait til I got pics from others before I posted, especially since all of my pics were taken with  my phone since my battery wasn't charged.  But, I still don't have them so I'll go ahead and post what I've got. 

We had a family party for Reese at our house, and Grando, Necie, Aunt Tiff, Mr. Weston, Aunt Dee, Grandmother, and Grandpa Joe were all able to be there!!

We ate burgers and hot dogs then moved on to the cake!  Her Daddy got her a Dora cupcake cake!

Sweet Reese,
You are learning your shapes (you know circle, triangle, rectangle/square, oval, star, crescent, and rhombus! - iphone apps are great!), you can count to "eleben" without missing a number, you sing your ABC's, you love to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider - in other words, we think you are a genius! :)  You are SO sweet to your brothers and love to give them hugs and kisses.  You cut your eyes and giggle to make everyone laugh.  You're a lot like Luke in that you love to entertain and you have a very caring spirit.  You don't like for anyone to be unhappy.  You have given up your paci except at naps and bedtime.  You love going to see your friends at church, especially Isabelle, Whit, Cody, Ava, and Addie, and you love to be sweet to Brady which makes me so happy since he's much smaller than you.  You love to watch TV in the mornings, and your favorite shows are Dora, Elmo's World, and Caillou.  You also love Max and Ruby even though their voices drive your mommy crazy.  You've become opinionated about which clothes you will wear, which is hard on your Mommy who still would like to dress you in dresses that I choose every day.  You've now decided that some days you like dresses and some days you don't.  I am thrilled that bows are not optional with you, they are a must. :)  I took you shoe shopping for your birthday and you couldn't have been happier!  (YAY Mommy's girl!!) You love to play on my phone - you can navigate it so well.  You can turn it on, unlock it, find the app you're looking for (your favorite is the puzzle app) and then you can play it til you want something different.  You can also navigate itunes and get yourself to your favorite song - Ice Ice Baby.  When he says "Vanilla," you say "BaNaNa" in this husky voice.  You crack us up!  You love to have your toenails painted. You get crazy excited about little things like stickers and snack time.  You tell us every morning which princess you are today - usually either Cinderella or "Seepin Bootie" :) You are the best sleeper ever.  You sleep about 12 hours at night (sometimes as much as 14!) and then take a good 1.5-2 hour nap every afternoon.  You are the happiest little girl ever, and everyone comments on how good-natured you are!  You love to pick your "boysies" up from school in the afternoon, running to give them hugs and tell them, "I MEESED YOU!!"  You also love to hug Mrs. Parrish!  You are a pretty good little eater - you'll try most things, and you are much less picky than your brothers.  Candy is absolutely your favorite thing to eat though.  You get M&Ms from Ms. Deidre every time we visit Daddy at work. You also like to eat yogurt, raisins, cheese sticks, bananas, and mac and cheese.  You have started carrying around a baby everywhere you go.  Cici and Bode got you a Tyrone doll from the Backyardigans, and he goes almost everywhere with you.  You like for your babies to have blankets, so I find kitchen towels and washrags everywhere with babies hidden underneath.  You love to be outside, and get so excited when we take walks and you get ride in your wagon.  You also like to hang on to Luke while he rides on his tricycle.  You are crazy about your Daddy and can't go to sleep at night until you've given him hugs and kisses.  We rock at night before bed, and you sing your ABCs while we brush teeth, then you say your prayers, then you choose what song you want me to sing.  Your current faves are Amazing Grace, the Birdwoman Song, the Rainbow Song, or the Winnie the Pooh song.  You are a great snuggler, and some nights I don't want to put you down you are so precious.  My prayer for you is that you will always find contentment and joy in the small things, just like you do now.  You are a constant joy to us and we are so very thankful for the little lady you are.
