Christmas in McKinney - 2009

Our family finally made it to McKinney - a few days late, but what a nice time we had!!

The boys LOVED their new movie chairs!!  They watched The Grinch which has become a tradition!

Reese checked out the reindeer on the piano - one of my favorite decorations! :)  I think they were collectibles from Arby's YEARS ago, and I LOVE THEM!

Time for presents!

A new art tub - full of all kinds of supplies and goodies - we have used it almost daily since we got home!

Reese thought she better check it out too

New Skechers for our stylin' girl!

Awesome ends with ME shirt :)

I love Luke's face - he really loves getting new clothes!

Incredible Hulk puzzle - cool!

Awesome!!  Where the Wild Things Are Jammies!

She's a little bit of a wild thing too

New sheets!

New Skechers socks!

Time to play

And finally, storytime.  The boys giggled all the way through their new book, "Click, Clack, Moo."  It's a great book!

A few days after returning to Abilene, we headed to Burkburnett for Christmas with all of the Smith side of the family.  It was a short visit for us, but the kids and I had a ball!  (David couldn't come this time - he had school work to finish!)

Precious new zebra trimmed jeans and hot pink shirt and zebra socks from Aunt Lori, Uncle Robert, Madelyn, and Nathan!  She looks adorable in them!

Matching superhero shirts - Yay!

Reese got a really neat Noah's ark shape sorter - she plays with it daily too!

Mima found GIANT magnets that the boys thought were awesome

Rhino Rampage!

Bode and the boys doing some electrical experiments!

Papa supervised

Madelyn and Miss Aly played with dolls :)

Another doll :)

We were so glad to get to see my cousin Toby and his little one, Caden Clayton who will be 2 in February.  They are both super sweet and we just don't get to see them often enough!

Well, that wraps up Christmas for 2009!  It was a great celebration season.  The boys understood better than ever that it was a time to celebrate Jesus' birth (not that they didn't love getting presents for themselves) and we continued traditions that mean a lot to me.  It's by far my favorite holiday and I'm always a little sad to see it go.  I'm pretty positive this was Caden's last Christmas to believe in Santa, so that's a little sad too.  Luke may follow right behind him.  Reese has yet to believe - but maybe next year...

Great memories :)  We're so proud of these precious ones.
