Aunt Dee and Mr Dave

Our sweet Aunt Dee came to see us at the end of June. We were so excited to get to visit with her, AND extra excited to meet Mr Dave!

Mr Dave was an immediate hit when he pulled out some magic tricks! He can make little balls disappear under cups, link pieces of metal, trick your eyes with a paperclip on some cards (sort of! :)) The boys were very impressed and then thrilled when he agreed to teach them how to do the tricks! Caden sat for hours practicing magic tricks.

We took Aunt Dee and Mr Dave to the pool
Caden loved going down the slide, Luke was all about the diving board

Luke asked to jump off the high dive. It is about 15 feet off the water - Really high! My first response was "No, I don't think so!" but I don't want to discourage him when he's fearless just because it's not something I want to do... So we asked the life-guard who explained that he couldn't jump off of it with his floaties on. He was crushed. Huge tears. Maybe next year.

We had so much fun at the pool!

Aunt Dee and Mr Dave introduced the boys to the wonderful game Monkey in the Middle - which they then were forced to play with the boys for hours on end, literally, and we're still being forced to play!

Mommy took the boys to do a building project at Home Depot to give Daddy, Aunt Dee, and Mr Dave time to finish the painting in baby Reese's room! (Isn't that sweet, and they did a great job!!) The boys had fun building a flag pole and holder in celebration of the Olympics.

Fun group shot

More monkey in the middle

And a somewhat random pic - Caden with the fly "Whacker" trying to "whack the fly right in the face!"

The weekend was great - good food, good times visiting, an evening out without kids (thanks so much!), lots of fun, completion of nursery painting, more good food...
We had a fabulous time getting to know Mr Dave and can't wait for he and Aunt Dee to come see us again!!!
